I wanted to thank you and TechsInCars for the excellent job you did for our small company last week, in repairing our 13-month-old Dell computer. My CFO tells me it is performing better than it has for a long time, and she is extremely pleased to have it up and running again.Your quick and perceptive work in diagnosing an intermittent hard drive failure in the Seagate drive, and then going out to purchase the drive and replace it with another SATA drive, and subsequently rebuilding the software at reasonable cost, was a considerable help to us, as we were in the middle of competing for a contract and short on hours. Having attempted to rebuild the system once on our own, and once with help from a Virginia Tech graduate student, and then having it immediately fail again, caused us considerable inconvenience and annoyance, and had our small company, Inchem, considering the purchase of an entirely new machine. Even though you had the unexpected effort of driving out to purchase a new drive cost you more time than anticipated, your bill was very reasonable and quite close to your labor estimate. Further, on checking the hard drives available, the drive you purchased looks to be exactly the one we would have chosen ourselves, being the right combination of size, quality, and cost. When we add on the nice touches of the new, up-to-date firewall, and nuisance protection software you installed as part of the service, the system is in much better shape than before the problem, and it appears to be working very well now.
